Work World in Hayward, CA is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, supervise staff, and support the Store Manager with scheduling and banking duties. The role requires nights and weekends, with a compensation range of $23–$27 per hour, DOE, in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 2-years of prior retail experience.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
• Assistant Manager experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist training all store personnel.
• Schedule opposite shifts of the Store Manager.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the Store Manager.
• Open and close the store.
• Prepare bank deposits and drop at bank.
• Buy change for store as needed.
• Process merchandise shipments.
• Keep store neat and clean at all times.
• Ring sales on cash register agency guidelines.
• Greet customers and answer phones.
• Assist customers in finding items.
