Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Tennessee to support daily store operations, lead a team, and drive sales performance. You will work closely with the Store Manager to hire, onboard, train, and develop store associates while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational standards.

You will monitor store activity, manage inventory, loss prevention, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations are met.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Maintain staffing levels through recruiting and retention efforts.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support.
• Maintain safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Reinforce adherence to policies and loss prevention standards.
• Support merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
