Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Cherry Hill, NJ. You will lead Sales Associates and Supervisors, coach on product knowledge and selling skills, and help drive store performance while delivering a high-quality customer experience.

You will support interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development, while contributing to scheduling, inventory control, and profitability.

Qualifications

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or store leadership role.
• Experience operating Inventory and POS systems and other retail software.
• Experience driving consumer engagement and selling skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot day-to-day operational and technical problems.
• Strong communication skills with store leadership, associates, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to a diverse staff of Supervisors and Associates in daily operations.
• Create an engaging shopping experience and deepen consumer engagement.
• Coach selling skills and product knowledge to staff.
• Assist the Store Manager with interviewing, hiring and onboarding new team members.
• Develop and implement plans to improve sales, store operations, safety and productivity.
• Prepare weekly schedules and help meet labor and operating expense targets.
• Maintain inventory levels and accuracy through receiving, replenishment, and shrink controls.
