Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is opening a new Marshalls store in Leland, NC, Spring 2027. We seek an Assistant Store Manager who will lead a diverse team, drive sales, manage expenses, and ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will recruit and develop Associates, implement strategic plans, and maintain shrink and safety controls while upholding our inclusive culture and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Ability to lead and empower a large team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to mentor others.
• Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing operations including merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, and scheduling.
• Attract, recruit, and develop Associates; mentor and role model to ensure a positive experience for both Associates and customers.
• Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, and store changes; contribute to succession planning.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets; coordinate loss prevention and store layout improvements.
