Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop the store team. You’ll support daily activities, merchandise flow from truck to floor, and maintain seasonal displays to meet company standards.

You will assist with payroll and scheduling, help with training, and ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates. This full-time role is based at our Oakley store location with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Retail store management experience or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to train and develop store associates.
• Customer service excellence and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits) and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness
• Other duties as assigned*
