Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Moline, IL to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to lead and develop store associates in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Support merchandising, stockroom transfers, and seasonal area maintenance.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise as needed.
