Job summary

Soma is seeking an Assistant Manager at Store 5488-The Shops at Mission Viejo, CA. Assist the Store Manager to lead the team, build community connections, and create a seamless customer experience reflective of our hospitality culture.

The role focuses on coaching associates, achieving store financial goals, and maintaining brand standards while operating with flexibility across nights, weekends, and holidays. 18+ and retail management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team to deliver a customer-centered experience.
• Take ownership to achieve the store's financial goals and motivate the team.
• Assist in hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead on the sales floor with product knowledge and omni-channel approach.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment reflecting brand standards.
• Manage inventory, daily replenishment, and inventories.
• Ensure compliance with policies and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store events and philanthropy.
