Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at our Oldtown, Idaho location. You will assist in opening and closing, merchandising, and supervising store associates to maintain a friendly and efficient shopping environment.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise, following corporate directives, and ensuring safety and loss prevention while delivering excellent customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Follow corporate directives and communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Help store manager supervise and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
