Job summary

Family Dollar in Darien, GA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and coach a team of store associates. You will support opening and closing, merchandise organization, and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, payroll, deposits, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and supervise store associates as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
