Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role supports the Store Manager and leads by example in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will supervise associates, assist with opening and closing, organize merchandise, and ensure safety and company standards. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts; participate in loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
