Job summary

Foot Locker is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead with energy and ownership, driving sales and coaching the team on the shop floor. You’ll ensure a great customer experience and a well-run store.

You’ll also manage daily operations, safety, and product standards while activating retail tech to support associates and optimize performance. This is a step into leadership with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in leadership or key holder role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and ownership to deliver customer moments.
• Coach the team to deliver great service and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and closing the loop with customers.
• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Maintain store organization, safety, and standard operating procedures.
• Take an owner/operator mindset and leverage retail technology to enhance the customer experience.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled and assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
