Job summary

Citi Trends, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Mississippi to help lead daily store operations and drive sales. You will partner with the Store Manager to recruit, onboard, and develop store associates while ensuring an excellent customer experience and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing inventory and cash handling, and coaching team members to meet performance goals. A flexible schedule is required, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or equivalent retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
