Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Saint Paul, MN to support daily store operations, lead a small team, and assist with hiring and onboarding. You will drive sales performance, ensure excellent customer experiences, and uphold loss prevention and merchandising standards.

You will partner with the Store Manager to schedule staff, coach associates, and maintain accurate inventory and cash handling processes. This role requires flexible to nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years in an Assistant Manager or retail leadership role.
• 3-5 years retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer service standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure policy compliance and operational standards.
• Supervise associates in sales, cash handling, and service.
• Assist with hiring, interviews, onboarding, and training.
• Help maintain staffing levels and employee retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment.
• Support merchandising and visual standards.
