Foot Locker in Elmhurst, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead with energy and ownership on the sales floor, coach the team, and drive daily store performance. As Manager on Duty when scheduled, you’ll oversee store operations, assist with hiring and training, and ensure a great customer experience while hitting sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work flexible hours, promote loss prevention, and help maintain standards across the store to support community engagement

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail experience with leadership exposure.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions for customers.
• Coach team to deliver great service and product knowledge.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and closing the loop with customers.
• Assist daily store operations including opening/closing and cash handling.
• Maintain store organization, safety, and SOP compliance.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled and help recruit and train staff.
• Coach teammates in real time and support store priorities.
