Job summary

Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in driving sales results, coaching the team, and maintaining daily store operations. You will lead by example on the sales floor, deliver exceptional customer moments, and ensure a smooth, organized store experience.

You will coach teammates, manage opening/closing, and uphold safety and standard operating procedures while leveraging technology to support store goals and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of retail experience.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the sales floor with energy and solutions to every customer interaction.
• Coach the team to deliver great service and share product knowledge.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and closing the loop with customers.
• Open/close duties, cash handling, and floor coverage to run the store smoothly.
• Maintain store standards, safety, and loss-prevention procedures.
• Take ownership of store execution and leverage digital tools to enhance the customer experience.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled and mentor new teammates.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of store staff.
