Job summary

Dollar Tree in Tifton, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and team development. You will assist with merchandise organization, customer service, and training while ensuring store standards and safety policies are followed.

The role involves opening/closing duties, payroll and scheduling support, and promoting a clean, organized sales floor. A high school diploma and store management experience are preferred; lifting up to 55 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and overall storefront effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and handling payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and security of premises.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance with procedures.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leadership.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and orderliness.
• Other duties as assigned.
