Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Arkansas to help run daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop the store team. The role involves supervising associates, organizing merchandise, and ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant store environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and prior store management experience in retail or grocery settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures; supervise/train Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restock restrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
