Family Dollar in Rio Rico, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist in merchandising, opening/closing duties, and implementing corporate directives while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and team members.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a focus on maintaining store standards, inventory control, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required to interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support customer service with a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain inventory & cash handling records.
• Maintain store cleanliness, fixtures, and promotional displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention efforts.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and compliant store policies.
