Job summary

Family Dollar in Waterloo, IA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help operate daily store functions, elevate customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist in merchandising, scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a clean, safe environment and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll and records, and supervising store associates to maintain high standards of service and store presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain records including payroll and scheduling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
