Job summary

Dollar Tree in Pulaski, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will supervise daily activities, organize merchandise, and train associates to uphold company standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, maintaining a safe, clean store, and enforcing policies while delivering exceptional service to customers and leadership support to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Store management experience in retail preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor set maintenance
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Follow corporate directives and maintain inventory accuracy and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets
• Supervise and develop store associates, ensuring safe and respectful environment
