Dollar Tree in Powhatan, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You’ll assist with daily store functions, organize merchandise, and help maintain a clean, welcoming shopping environment.

You’ll supervise and train Store Associates, ensure safety and policy compliance, handle opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, and contribute to loss prevention and great value for customers.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties; flexible with shifts.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational abilities.

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; protect store assets including cash.

• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
