Job summary

Dollar Tree in Sterling, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, enhance customer service, and develop team members. This role supports the Store Manager and oversees openings, closings, merchandising, and loss prevention to ensure a welcoming shopping environment.

You will work in a fast-paced retail setting, lift up to 55 lbs, interpret directives, train associates, and maintain clean, organized sales floors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Assist in organizing, stocking merchandise, and maintaining seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Assist in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store floor and stockroom, and ensure safety and security of assets
