Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Charleston, SC. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train store associates.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention
• Maintain organized sales floor and stockroom
• Protect store assets and cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
• Complete other duties as assigned
