Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in South Carolina to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is properly stocked and displayed.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, processing directives, payroll and scheduling tasks, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Part-time position with potential for growth and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Must read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Experience in retail or grocery management preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Help with ordering, damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect assets and store cash; follow safety policies.
• Train and develop Store Associates; supervise with the Store Manager.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions.
• Keep store clean, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping.
• Other duties as assigned
