The Assistant Manager will help with merchandising, scheduling, and staff development, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and assets are safeguarded.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and pursue goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to handle important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Team-player with passion for customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Supervise in the Store Manager’s absence and support store goals.
• Assist in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Lead recruitment, training, and employee evaluation with the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to staff and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses for profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
• Maintain customer service excellence per manuals and policies.
• Support loss prevention and internal controls as directed by management.
