Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and training while supporting profitability and asset protection.

This full-time role requires leadership, strong communication, and reliable cash-handling skills. The position involves scheduling, opening/closing the store, and helping drive store density and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training.
• Follow company processes to manage merchandise, stocking, and displays.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and planograms; ensure proper presentation.
• Ensure cashier accountability, cash control procedures, refunds, and deposits.
• Assist with store management in Store Manager's absence.
