Job summary

Citi Trends in Missouri is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing and development of associates. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain standards, and ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Basic math including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting efforts and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and enforce loss prevention standards.
• Execute merchandising, operational, and visual standards consistently.
