Job summary

Foot Locker is seeking a proactive Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and coach a diverse team. This role requires energetic leadership, ownership of customer experience, and hands-on store management to ensure smooth floor execution.

As part of the team, you’ll guide associates, manage schedules, and uphold standards while delivering exceptional service and achieving goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail leadership or key holder experience.
• Strong coaching and team engagement abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ownership-driven.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy, confidence, and solutions to customer interactions.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Maintain store organization and adherence to safety and SOPs to protect customers and staff.
• Take ownership of store execution and leverage digital tools to enhance customer experience.
