Job summary

TJ Maxx at TJX Companies in Irving, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a dynamic team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will drive store performance by overseeing merchandising, staffing, operations, and loss prevention while mentoring Associates to grow their skills and careers.

You’ll recruit and develop talent, implement plans to hit sales and service targets, and foster an inclusive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience.
Ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and mentor others.
Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

Drive store performance by supporting sales, managing expenses and overseeing key operations (merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving).
Recruit, onboard, and develop Associates; mentor and role model to foster a positive experience for staff and customers.
Communicate and implement action plans for projects and store changes; contribute to succession planning.
Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets; coordinate loss prevention and improve store layout.
