Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Richardson, TX location. You will help manage daily tasks, maintain displays, and ensure safety and policy adherence while assisting the Store Manager in training and supervising staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized per company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
