Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Fargo, ND is seeking a Store Associate to assist with daily store operations and deliver outstanding customer service. You will help organize merchandise, support customers, and help keep the store clean and well-stocked.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. You will participate in opening/closing procedures, follow corporate directives, and support the Store Manager in training and development of associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and respond to communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure compliance
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash and overall presentation
• Other duties as assigned
