Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Warren, OH to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure displays stay appealing.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Experience in retail or grocery management is preferred, with a focus on safety and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain fixtures and displays and ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store clean, stocked, and secure assets.
• Train and develop store associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• All other duties as assigned.
