Job summary

Family Dollar in Ardmore, OK is seeking a full-time store operations role to support daily activities and excellent customer service. You will assist with inventory, merchandising, opening/closing duties, compliance, loss prevention, and coaching Store Associates in a fast-paced retail environment.

The position emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store while meeting company standards and ensuring profitability. On-site work with a team that values service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking and standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain store areas and protect assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional customer interactions.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store and restrooms; manage trash and neat presentation.
