Job summary

Global Partners LP's Assistant Store Manager (ASM) supports the general manager in daily operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while delivering welcoming guest service in our Boston area store.

This role handles daily accounting paperwork, supervises hourly staff, monitors cash handling and inventory, coordinates banking and payroll tasks, and contributes to store opening standards, safety, cleanliness and promotions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate, count, read and write accurately.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt employees.
• Monitors shift cash handling and inventory; assist investigations of shortages/overages and inventory variations.
• Maintains business records and cashier accountability sheets.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties.
• Manage cash handling procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
• Maintain store readiness and cleanliness; ensure safety and security.
• Engage in all company promotional initiatives and guest service.
