Job summary

Dollar Tree in Colorado Springs is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers with questions, and supervising and training Store Associates to ensure a positive work environment.

You will help organize merchandise, maintain well-stocked floors and stockrooms, perform opening and closing procedures, and uphold safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; maintain stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
