Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager, supervise staff, manage donations, processing and sales, and ensure accurate cash handling.

You will open/close procedures, prepare reports, assist in disciplinary actions, and help drive community-focused service while promoting teamwork and reliability. This role requires a high school diploma and strong communication skills, with weekend/evening availability.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
• Operate cash register and perform stock duties.
• Drive with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Store Manager in daily operations.
• Supervise and train staff in donations, processing, and sales.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and banking procedures as needed.
• Complete reports like donation counts and daily business statements.
