Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, including staff scheduling, donations processing, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will supervise cash handling, banking tasks, and daily audits, while contributing to community service and career development opportunities offered by Goodwill. A flexible schedule including weekends is required to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Experience with cash handling and POS systems preferred.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in daily operations.
• Supervise retail staff in donations, processing and sales.
• Operate cash register and POS system accurately.
• Perform opening/closing, banking, and daily reconciliation.
• Prepare reports and support store audits.
