Job summary

IGA Southeast is seeking a grocery department leader to manage center store and the FPI/DAX balance, ensuring budgeted results.

In this role you will supervise store operations in the Store Manager's absence, protect assets, and drive a guest-focused selling culture. The position requires leadership, scheduling and training responsibilities, with a focus on development of high-potential staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1–3 years supermarket management experience.
• Ability to supervise and train staff including development plans for high-potential employees.
• Strong communication, guest service, and selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage FPI, DAX & center store balance on hand (BOH) and assist Store Manager in achieving budgeted results.
• Oversee total store operation in Store Manager's absence.
• Protect assets and ensure safety, compliance with laws and company policies.
• Schedule department labor and potentially handle staffing and orientation.
• Lead staff development and create a talent pipeline for the department.
• Execute weekly pricing audits, pull lists, ad checks and monthly self-audits.
• Foster an enthusiastic, guest-focused selling environment and maintain safe conditions.
