General Position Summary

  • Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
  • Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
  • Assist in preparing store work schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control policies.
  • Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting counts.
  • Perform proper documentation and record keeping per policies and legal requirements.
  • Open and close the store following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
Additional Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
  • Act as Store Manager on duty in their absence for scheduling issues and customer complaints.
  • Manage store staff through training, goal setting, and follow-up in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Handle disciplinary actions, including verbal and written warnings when necessary.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling store personnel.
  • Encourage compliance with company policies and safeguard company assets.
  • Perform duties of subordinates as needed.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
  • Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
  • Ability to work independently.
Preferred Job Knowledge & Skills
Assistant store managers can earn up to 45% above local minimum wage based on experience. They are eligible for monthly sales bonuses, employee discounts, and full benefits including PTO, health, vision, dental, and 401(k).
