Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
- Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store work schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control policies.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting counts.
- Perform proper documentation and record keeping per policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
Additional Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
- Act as Store Manager on duty in their absence for scheduling issues and customer complaints.
- Manage store staff through training, goal setting, and follow-up in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Handle disciplinary actions, including verbal and written warnings when necessary.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling store personnel.
- Encourage compliance with company policies and safeguard company assets.
- Perform duties of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Job Knowledge & Skills
Assistant store managers can earn up to 45% above local minimum wage based on experience. They are eligible for monthly sales bonuses, employee discounts, and full benefits including PTO, health, vision, dental, and 401(k).
