General Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets within LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store work schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting product counts.
- Complete product counts consistently and timely.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store following established procedures.
Additional Duties
Supervise Associates
- Act as Store Manager on duty in their absence for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc.
- Manage store staff through training, goal setting, and follow-up, especially when the Store Manager is absent.
- Implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Handle staffing, including calling in associates during peak times.
- Participate in training programs and adhere to set goals.
- Assist in recruiting and training staff on store operations.
- Ensure compliance with policies, including inventory and property security.
- Perform subordinate work as needed.
- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of the work time.
- Ability to work independently.
