General Description

• Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.

• Provide consistent, documented appraisals of sales performance and give feedback on areas of strength and opportunity, aligning with Company Objectives.
• Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Control Expenses

• Protect company assets within LIDS Retail policies.
• Assist in preparing store work schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control guidelines.
• Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting product counts.
• Complete product counts consistently and timely.
• Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per policies and legal requirements.
• Open and close the store following established procedures.

Additional Duties

Supervise Associates

• Act as Store Manager on duty in their absence for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc.
• Manage store staff through training, goal setting, and follow-up, especially when the Store Manager is absent.
• Implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Handle staffing, including calling in associates during peak times.
• Participate in training programs and adhere to set goals.
• Assist in recruiting and training staff on store operations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, including inventory and property security.
• Perform subordinate work as needed.
• Communicate effectively at all levels.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
• Ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
• Standing for up to 100% of the work time.
• Ability to work independently.
