GPM Investments, operating Roadrunner Markets in Abingdon, VA, seeks an Assistant Manager for Store 6030. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, run the register with speed and accuracy, coach a team, handle inventory, and oversee merchandising to keep the store energized and well stocked.

Open availability is required, including weekends and holidays. Weekly pay, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, 401(k), PTO, and health/dental/vision coverage are offered, with clear pathways to store

Qualifications

• Open Availability: You must be available to work weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to complete bank deposits.
• Physical readiness: able to clean restrooms, take out trash, and maintain outdoor pump areas.
• Minimum age 21+ years.
• Excellent communication and basic math skills.
• Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain) required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service.
• Act as store manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep shelves stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Oversee daily cash handling, deposits, and store financials.
• Provide leadership to drive excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned.
