GPM Investments in Pennington Gap, VA is seeking an Assistant Manager for Store 408 to help run daily operations, assist customers, manage cash, and lead a high-performing team on opening weekend shifts.

This role offers weekly pay, a $1000 sign-on bonus after 6 months, performance bonuses, 401(k), PTO, and insurance coverage, with responsibilities including coaching staff, scheduling, inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Open availability to work weekends, holidays, and second/third shifts.
• Must have valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle and proof of insurance.
• Physical readiness for cleaning restrooms and maintaining outside areas.
• Minimum age 21+.
• Proficient in English with basic math skills.
• Willing to learn and obtain food safety certification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a great attitude.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service and store success.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store fully stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership that motivates your team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned
