Job summary

GPC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead NAPA retail operations with a strong customer-service mindset in Wayland, IA. You will support the Store Manager across functions while maintaining active sales responsibilities and ensuring store standards.

You will coach team members, monitor performance, and step in on tasks to ensure continuity. This role provides a developmental path toward Store Manager, with potential overtime and keyholder duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket or retail preferred.
• Strong leadership and customer care focus.
• Willingness to learn all things automotive.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales, inventory health and scheduling.
• Actively sell and build relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes and customer standards.
• Oversee opening/closing routines, cash reconciliation and reporting.
• Handle scheduling, compliance docs and performance tracking.
• Drive safety, asset protection and continuous improvement initiatives.
