Job summary

Family Dollar in Roswell, NM is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling.
• Maintain well-stocked floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Enforce policies and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise and develop store associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
