Dollar Tree in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will oversee daily tasks, help train associates and ensure company standards are met.

In this full-time role you will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, loss prevention, and cash control while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. This position offers growth opportunities and exposure to all areas of store management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Retail management experience in grocery, drug store, or retail environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling while supporting store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom following company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors; manage trash and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
