Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks typical for store operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and respond to store activity communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; ensure storefronts look appealing.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, and handle records including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms and floors.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
