Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Byron, GA. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train store associates to maintain a safe, friendly environment.

This part-time role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience working in a high-energy team environment and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll and scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates; foster a positive environment.
