Job summary

Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead with energy, ownership, and purpose. You will support the Store Manager in driving sales results, coaching the team, and ensuring the store runs smoothly, day in and day out.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll engage customers, move with urgency, and set the store tone with the Always on, Never no mindset. You’ll leverage retail technology to enhance experiences and develop teammates for long-term growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with an energy mindset; bring solutions to every customer interaction.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing confident leadership.
• Recruiting, onboarding, and training of store associates; supporting team development.
