Job summary

Design Within Reach in Sarasota seeks an Assistant Store Manager (Finance) to lead the team in the General Manager's absence, coach sales, and deepen client relationships while delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

You will manage Sales Assistants, support training, and ensure design standards are maintained. Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and using MS Office; experience in retail management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and trust with direct reports, peers, and studio clientele.
• Proficiency with MS Office software, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs.
• Able to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds and to understand safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Grow your business weekly using company programs to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Assist in maintaining the store's design and visual standards using merchandising guidelines.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations.
• Travel for in-home client consultations and visits to local trade professionals.
• Attend store meetings, product training, and use the website/catalog to increase product knowledge.
• Directly manage all Sales Assistants and Studio Interns.
