Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist the Store Manager with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and staff training, while ensuring profitability and loss prevention.

You will also handle stocking, cashiering, planogram execution, and daily financial controls to support a smooth, high-quality shopping experience for customers in our Ohio location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, displays, and planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cash controls and deposits.
• Support store operations in the manager's absence.
